Our democracy and our future are on the line in 2020. We need to come together to fight for bold ideas that can meet the challenges of this moment, but we cannot rely on winning just at the top of the ticket.

One of the most important races in the country is Texas's 28th District because it is one of our best opportunities to grow the progressive movement's power in Congress.

In this safe blue district, the incumbent, Henry Cuellar, votes and acts more like a Republican. He has an “A” rating from the NRA, takes thousands in corporate PAC money, and votes with Big Oil’s agenda against aggressive climate solutions.

That's why Jessica Cisneros is challenging him as a proud progressive — supporting Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and a $15/hour minimum wage. She'll also be a powerful ally in the fight to get big money out of our politics.

Jessica is an immigration and human rights attorney who grew up in the border town of Laredo, Texas. She saw the horrors of the Trump administration’s immigration policy up close, and now she’s running to help fix our broken immigration system.

She’ll fight for justice for all of us.

Jessica’s district is rated safely Democratic. Hillary Clinton won her district by 20 points in 2016, yet her opponent Henry Cuellar voted with Trump nearly 70% of the time last session. He’s voted to fund Trump’s racist wall, to defund Planned Parenthood and to support Big Oil’s agenda. He’s taken thousands from the NRA, the Koch Brothers and Big Oil in exchange for doing their bidding.

Shockingly, he claims he is a Democrat.

He’s sold out his community and constituents in favor of corporate special interests and Republicans.

He has got to go, and now our movement has the chance to replace him with a true progressive. But Jessica needs us behind her:
