Learn more about the It's Bigger Than Me movement HERE. | | NEW STUDY ON WEIGHT BIAS RELEASED BY OAC & ASBMS The OAC along with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) released a new study detailing perceptions about weight bias across diverse racial and ethnic groups. The study showed that a higher percentage of White and Asian adults acknowledge the existence of weight bias in society, but Hispanic and Black Americans were more likely to experience it first-hand. The inspiration for this research came from the OAC's long-time commitment to stopping weight bias.
