This Wednesday, get an insight into the power of the Greens in the German Government
John
Faced with spiralling oil prices, governments have had to decide how to respond to the cost of living crisis and the climate emergency:
- UK: cut fuel duty, doubling down on car dependency and carbon emissions. ?
- Germany: cut train fares by 90%, to curb driving and reduce carbon emissions - and it was the Greens in the German federal government that made this possible!
We're therefore delighted that Pegah Edalation, Deputy Federal Chair of the German Greens, will be joining us in conversation on Wednesday 15th June from 18.00 to 1900 via Zoom for a to discuss Green politics in Germany, Europe and internationally. ?
As well as discussing how the Greens are shaping a sustainable future for Germany, Pegah is also the German Green's diversity spokesperson and international-European coordinator. Her passion lies in global justice, feminist foreign policy and human rights.
Pegah will be in conversation with our London Assembly Member Zack Polanski. ?We're really excited to have this opportunity and we hope you can join us!
Tickets cost ?5 with concessions available. All tickets purchased help cover the cost of London Green Party campaigns and LGBTIQA+ Greens campaigns.
