I have about 10 minutes of free time in my schedule today. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but with a schedule like mine, I can assure you I’m using it wisely.

And while I know our campaign sends a lot of emails, I want to take a few of these minutes to tell you why your support today is so important to our success.

As you know, this year’s midterm elections are an opportunity to protect and expand our Democratic majority, which will allow us to keep making progress on the issues that we all know are so important—like protecting key benefits for Veterans and military families, codifying Roe v. Wade into law and preventing gun violence in our communities.

But we are facing an uphill battle to protect our majority and Mitch McConnell knows that. He and National Republicans will pour millions of dollars into defeating every Senate Democrat up for re-election in November.

So it’s important that we put up strong fundraising numbers, especially this month. Our FEC fundraising deadline and primary election are both coming up at the end of June so we need to be prepared to go up against whoever the Republicans choose.

So, please:

Can you rush a contribution of $10, or any amount you can afford, before our mid-month deadline on Wednesday? I would not ask if it wasn’t so important.
