Hello, my name is Nikki Budzinski. I’m an Illinoisian, a labor activist and champion for the middle class, and a Democrat -- and I’m officially announcing my run for Illinois’ 13th Congressional District.
I’ve spent my entire life fighting for working families. I believe in the American Dream and I’ll work with anyone to level the playing field to make sure working families have a seat at the table as we recover from COVID-19.
But, I need your support to make this a reality. So please, will you endorse my campaign for Illinois’ 13th Congressional District?
Listen, from a young age, my parents taught me the importance of family, community, and service to others.
That’s why I’ve traveled the country fighting to get hardworking people the pay and workplace safety conditions they deserve.
I’m particularly proud of successfully leading the charge to raise the minimum wage to $15 while serving as Governor JB Pritzker’s senior adviser on labor issues.
By bringing people together and staying true to our word and our values, we were able to improve the lives of workers in Illinois.
I want to go to Congress to build on my work. I'll fight for affordable college and job training, accessible child care, and an economic recovery that doesn’t leave anybody behind.
