Hi Friend,

This June, we’re celebrating the 116th anniversary of the Antiquities Act!
Since 1906, Presidents have used the Antiquities Act to protect national
monuments for future generations. This important law can help us conserve
lands and waters critical to honoring the full story of our country.

One such opportunity exists in Nevada: Avi Kwa Ame. This nearly 450,000
acre land south of Las Vegas, near Searchlight, is critically important to
Yuman-speaking Indigenous tribes in the southwest, as well as a hotspot of
biodiversity for desert plants & animals alike. Congresswoman Dina Titus
[ [link removed] ]just wrote an op-ed published yesterday in the Las Vegas Sun detailing
all the reasons President Biden should use the Antiquities Act to protect
this incredibly special place.

Join us in celebrating by supporting the designation of Avi Kwa Ame in
Southern Nevada as the next National Monument!

Here’s how you can help, Friend!

 1. Add your name to the petition at [ [link removed] ]honoravikwaame.org!
 2. Share the petition with your friends & family and educate them on the
Avi Kwa Ame monument proposal.
 3. [ [link removed] ]Click-to-tweet and share Rep. Titus' op-ed calling for the
designation of Avi Kwa Ame.
 4. Follow the Honor Avi Kwa Ame coalition on [ [link removed] ]Facebook, [ [link removed] ]Twitter, and
[ [link removed] ]Instagram to stay up-to-date on the latest news surrounding this
monument campaign!

Will you join us today in spreading the word and growing our movement even
larger? The preservation of Indigenous cultural history and the habitats
of numerous plant and wildlife species depend on it!

Thank you for your support,
