Happy Pride, John!

For Pride this year, I’m thrilled to be celebrating and fighting for the LGBTQIA+ community as part of this campaign alongside Shannon.

Last weekend in honor of Pride Month, Drag Queens Severity Stone and Sham Payne joined Team Shannon at the MassDems Convention for an incredible after-party drag show.

This is why I love being part of this campaign — because when it comes to celebrating, Shannon knows how to throw a good party.

But when it comes to fighting to protect the rights and lives of the LGBTQIA+ community, she goes even harder.

Shannon is the fighter that we need to protect our LGBTQIA+ neighbors in Massachusetts because she has been doing this work for decades. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, I trust Shannon to fight for our community and ensure equal justice under law.

Today, as states across the country are passing record numbers of anti-LGBTQIA+ bills and our LGBTQIA+ siblings, especially Black and brown trans people, continue to face violence and discrimination everyday, it is more important than ever that we elect leaders who will fight for our communities in every state office.

As Attorney General, I know we can trust Shannon to uphold our rights and push back against corporations and legislation that would try to set us back. Whether it’s protecting marriage equality, access to affirming healthcare, or the right to live and work as we are, Shannon is going to be right there in the middle of the fight.
