Four years ago, my kids fully supported and engaged in my first campaign for public office, running to be an Attorney General who protected the rights of all Coloradans and defended the rule of law. They then saw me become “a little preoccupied,” as our first TV ad put it.
During the campaign, our family traveled to every one of Colorado's 64 counties, and learned a lot together. Which county is the town of Dolores in? If you guessed Dolores County, you’d be wrong. (It’s in Montezuma County.)
We were inspired as we listened to people’s stories–the challenges they were facing and what they wanted for their communities. I have taken those stories to heart every day as your Attorney General and remain committed to what you asked of me–to prevent consumers from being taken advantage of, address the opioid epidemic, help make us safer, and protect our land, air, and water.
I am grateful that my family supports my commitment to showing up, listening to people, and getting results. As I said in my first campaign, “I just have some work to do.” I still feel that way and appreciate you helping me continue to fight for justice and all Coloradans.
My kids would appreciate any contribution you can make to support my re-election campaign so we can continue this important work. Can you help with a contribution today in honor of Father’s Day?
