Sullivan Award Through the Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Award, Catholic Charities USA gives thanks to a person in the Catholic Charities network that has distinguished themselves for dedicated service and/or leadership in the field of children, youth, and families. In our goal to reduce poverty in America, Catholic Charities can serve more of our brothers and sisters due to the dedication and commitment of staff and volunteers. The winner of the 2022 Bishop Joseph M. Sullivan Award will be highlighted in future CCUSA communications online, social media and through a press release. CCUSA Immigration and Refugee Services CoP monthly meeting You are invited to the CCUSA Immigration and Refugee Services Community of Practice meeting. During this meeting, we will hear from the field about pressing Immigration and Refugee Services issues and receive a policy update from CCUSA, MRS/USCCB, and CLINIC. June 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM EST This interactive webinar will provide insight and training on the newly released DSM-5-TR update. We will discuss the major changes from DSM-5 to DSM-5-TR and how these changes impact how we diagnose individuals. This training will also discuss the development and rationale for publishing an updated edition of the DSM. The new disorders will be addressed at length. Additional ICD-10-CM codes, and other changes since the publication of the DSM-5 in 2013 will also be discussed.This webinar offers 1.0 Continuing Education Credit. June 23, 2022 at 03:00 PM EST Catholic Charities USA is working to help build awareness about the Affordable Connectivity Program, a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The new long-term benefit will help to lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households struggling to afford internet service. CCUSA is hosting a webinar exclusively for Catholic Charities agencies staff to learn more about this program and how to help facilitate enrollment with those you serve. What is a Workforce Development Program? July 19, 2022 02:00 PM EST Join us for a webinar to focus on helping organizations understand the difference between workforce development programs and job placement programs. Our presenter, Surabhi Jain, Founder of Ed-Works Consulting, LLC, will share examples of different workforce development programs. Additionally, we will explore partnerships and resources needed to replicate some of these programs. Towards the end of the presentation, organizations will be able to self-identify where they fall on the spectrum of the workforce development program, and where they would like to move in the future. Register now for the 35th annual Social Action Summer Institute (SASI), taking place in-person at St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN, from July 20-22, 2022, and sponsored by Catholic Charities USA. This year's theme is The Spirituality of Justice and will feature programming that roots social ministry to the Gospel message, including workshops by Catholic Charities leaders and keynotes by Bishop Seitz of El Paso, Ogechi Akalgbere of the Archdiocese of Washington, and Sebastian Gomes of America Media. CCUSA-CFPB Financial Empowerment Capacity Building Series You are invited to the CCUSA and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Financial Empowerment Capacity Building webinar series. CCUSA and CFPB are coordinating a series of webinars to bring free financial empowerment training and resources to Catholic Charities staff. Participants will receive training and resources to help build their skills and better support financial wellness with the communities they serve. Join us the first Tuesday of each month to focus on the following topics: July 5 Choosing financial products and services This webinar series offers 1.0 Continuing Education Credit per session. For those interested in earning a CEC credit, participants will need to participate in each session in its entirety and complete an evaluation/post-test questions.
