I will always vote to protect Virginias, not guns

Team,

Yesterday was the sixth anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting, which left 49 people dead and another 53 wounded. Since that awful day, we’ve lost countless innocent lives to senseless gun violence. So much so that there have been over 250 mass shootings in 2022 so far, and 38 of those have been since the heartbreaking massacre of 19 children and two teachers in Uvalde, Texas.

Our tragic reality is that hardly any family in this country has remained untouched by gun violence. For us in the Commonwealth, the horrors of both the Virginia Beach and the Virginia Tech shootings felt personal and visceral, especially for those of us who work within educational institutions.

This country has a gun violence problem and it’s past time we enact critical life-saving legislation. That’s why I’m proud to have voted for legislation that required background checks on all gun sales, mandated safe storage, closed loopholes, and implemented a host of other gun violence prevention laws.

And that’s exactly why I’m proud of my F rating from the NRA.

Join me in standing up to gun lobbyists, the NRA, and to the GOP by contributing to my gun-sense campaign. Donate right now.

Flipping the Senate and assuming full governmental control of Virginia is the top priority of Republicans. And my seat is a top target as it is one of the most competitive in our Commonwealth. Especially since I’ve helped to put an end to numerous bills that would roll back gun safety policies.

It’s time to say “no” to the NRA and “no” to senseless violence. Because one death every 13 minutes to gun violence in this country is not okay and it’s not normal.

Today and every day, we remember those we have lost to gun violence and continue to work towards common-sense gun legislation.

I hope you will join me.
