Hopefully the EPA got the memo: trucks aren't going to electrify themselves
***********************************************************
Dear Friend,
The comment period for the Environmental Protection Agency’s heavy-duty trucks regulation closed last month. More than 18,000 Earthjustice supporters told the EPA it needs to lead in the fight against truck pollution — not coast off the hard work that states are already doing.
The EPA will now review the comments while it works to finalize the rule. Hopefully, it will take the outcry of tens of thousands of supporters to heart and strengthen the regulations. If not, we’re going to need your help to push back — again — until the EPA shows it understands the urgency of the climate and air quality crises.
We’ll keep you updated when news breaks on this, but there’s plenty to do in the meantime. We must maintain our focus and recommit to our paramount goal — winding down the fossil fuel age as fast as possible. You can help out, right now, by calling on the Postal Service to replace its polluting trucks with electric trucks.
Sincerely,
Paul Cort
Director, Right to Zero
