John —
When our intake team reads letters from people asking for help, they look at the evidence in each case and the circumstances of each conviction to answer one question: Could DNA testing prove this person is innocent?
DNA testing can cost anywhere from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars for a single case. But when the results can mean the difference between wrongful imprisonment and freedom for our clients, we never allow the cost of testing or the time it takes to stand in the way. That’s possible because of your support.
** John, will you help fund DNA tests to free our next innocent client? Donate to the DNA fund before midnight tomorrow and help us access $100,000 of matching funds that could uncover the truth for our clients.

If we meet our Giving Tuesday goal and receive the $100,000 matching gift, we’ll have raised enough to cover our entire DNA testing budget for 2020.
Help us meet that goal and free another innocent person by donating to the DNA fund today — your gift will be automatically doubled and go twice as far for justice. ([link removed])
Thank you!

Started in 1992 as a legal clinic at Cardozo School of Law, the Innocence Project is now an independent nonprofit, affiliated with Cardozo, that exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
