Union-led general strike demands Puerto Rico governor resign

Fueled by a general strike called by the island’s unions, up to one million Puerto Rican residents—one of every three islanders—converged on the capital of San Juan on July 22 to demand that embattled Gov. Ricardo Rosselló quit now. The mass movement virtually brought Puerto Rico to a dead halt.
