Kathryn Grody and Mandy Patinkin are actors and activists who have been married for almost 42 years. Patinkin is most known for his roles in Homeland and The Princess Bride. Grody wrote and acted in an autobiographical play called Mom's Life.  During the 2020 election, Grody and Patinkin gathered a large social media following for their viral videos encouraging people to vote. 

We're outraged, folks — 

We're reaching out again because Roe v. Wade is on the verge of being overturned. 

This is not a drill. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. As we said before, we cannot roll on the floor, despondent and shaking. Instead, we ALL need to get motivated. Because Republicans are attacking a woman's fundamental right to choose before our eyes.

It’s a matter of individual liberty. It's about the fundamental right for a woman to make her own health decisions. And Republicans are attacking these rights at the highest level of government. 

Mitch McConnell and the entire Republican party have been working towards this moment since Roe v. Wade was decided nearly 50 years ago. They packed the courts at every level with extreme anti-choice judges. They passed increasingly restrictive and dangerous abortion laws across the country. And they implemented the most extreme right-wing agenda of our lifetime, ensuring that their policies persist long after they're gone. McConnell even threatened to ban abortion nationwide if the GOP takes back the Senate.

The stakes of the midterms have never been higher, and we need you in this fight with us now more than ever.

If we're going to defend access to abortion, there is no question that we need to protect pro-choice Democrats in the Senate, starting with Maggie Hassan.
