Inflation at its Highest Rate in Four Decades

The Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key inflation index, hit 8.6% in May. This is its highest rate in 4 decades and beats the previous record the Biden administration set in March. What is even more concerning: inflation shows no signs of slowing down. The national average for a gallon of gas is now over $5, more than double the average price of $2.39 on President Biden's first day in office. The American people can’t afford the Democrats’ reckless policies that is causing this skyrocketing inflation.

Protecting Supreme Court Justices

Following the unprecedented and illegal leak of a draft decision, a A bill to provide more security for Supreme Court justices and their families passed unanimously in the Senate last month. However, Speaker Nancy Pelosi refuses to bring it up for a vote in the House. In fact, it was blocked for a second time last week—even though Speaker Pelosi and her fellow Democrats in the House knew a man had been arrested for plotting to kill Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. House Democrats refusal to act in the face of these grave threats is shocking and completely unacceptable.

Congratulations to Marshall Britt, Natalie Eaves, and Braxton Eichel for doing such a great job representing Stokes County and the Tenth District at this year’s Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) 2022 Summer Games. Marshall Britt brought home the gold medal in the bowling competition while Braxton Eichel earned the bronze medal.
