URGENT: DHS Issues National Terrorism Advisory

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security issued a National Terrorism Advisory due to the risk of violence in response to the spread of dis- and misinformation (DisMis).

The security of the US-Mexico border, a high-profile U.S. Supreme Court Case on reproductive rights, and the coming midterm elections are all cited as reasons for “the continued proliferation of false or misleading narratives” that could lead to violence.

Without a doubt, DisMis poses a risk to all of us. At the George Washington Initiative, we’re working strategically to target and dismantle DisMis ecosystems to prevent further acts of violence. If you believe in our mission, please contribute $10 to aid our efforts.
