It's been quite a week, John.

On Tuesday, I announced that I'm running for re-election as Mayor of Chicago (you can watch my announcement video below). To celebrate, we went on a five-stop tour all around the city.



Now, I have a chance to sit down and write this to you.

In the three years since I took office, I've taken on a global pandemic, political corruption, and systemic inequality. I'm so proud of everything we've accomplished — but there's still so much I want to tackle.

That's why I'm reaching out now. As I launch my reelection campaign, nothing is more important that the unifying strength of our grassroots supporters.
