Dear John,
As ballots continue to be counted from last week’s primary election, we’ve continued closing the gap between second and third place.
We finished election night seemingly down 4,000 votes. But the ballots counted since then have narrowed our gap.
Yesterday, the Board of Elections released updated data showing that our campaign is now under 1,000 votes away from reaching the general election. Below are comparisons of our results most recently reported (on top) versus those from election night on Tuesday (underneath).
Can you contribute today to make sure that every vote gets counted?
With at least 180,000 ballots submitted in our race, our current margin is roughly comparable to the under 200 votes by which NRA-backed Democrat Henry Cuellar—relying on Nancy Pelosi’s support—appeared to recently triumph over progressive Jessica Cisneros in the TX-28 race, in which only 50,000 voters participated.
We know that these patterns of impunity will continue until we finally end the careers of the career and dynasty politicians who enable them.
Can you stand with us again today as we work to hold corruption accountable?
Thank you for everything you’ve done to support our campaign! Together, we’ve mobilized tens of thousands of people, shifted half a dozen policies in the House, and exposed a critique of continuing corruption suppressed by the press establishment.
As an immigrant challenging a corporate oligarch, I’m proud to have punched far above my weight.
We couldn’t do it without you!
Your voice,
Shahid
