The multinational corporations buying up entire neighborhoods pose a greater threat to Americans' security and safety than China or Russia. Likewise for the pharmaceutical companies that have manufactured the opioid crisis ravaging our country — they are merchants of death.

Consider this: annual drug overdose deaths in the US exceed 100,000. Almost 1 million Americans have died of a drug overdose in the past 20 years. Over a six-year period, one county in my district received 37,838,060 pain pills — 76.6 pills per person per year.
