John — this is Taylor, Eddie’s guitar, checking in and I have a confession to make.
Eddie used to play me all the time. I don’t mean to fret, but ever since he’s been running for office, I sit on the couch — unplayed and sad!
I don’t want you to misunderstand my tone: I know Eddie’s race is important. It’s the best pickup opportunity in all of Florida and the bridge we need to hold the House. Eddie is up against some extreme Republicans who would ban abortion, block gun safety legislation, and are committed to a string of lies and distortion.
Eddie is doing the right thing — but my feelings are still hurt! Frankly, I feel like he’s tuning me out, and that’s why I’m sending you this note, John.
If Eddie didn’t have to spend so much time raising money to defeat his far-right opponents, he might be able to give me a strum more often.
Can you chip in $5 so Eddie can pay a little more attention to me and help amplify his message!
This campaign has struck a chord: Progression from the solo campaign with no staff to raising nearly $400,000 is something to be excited about! And don’t get us wrong, we’re not strapped for cash, but we’ve still got a long way to go. These new lines mean this district is neck-and-neck, so we have to keep working hard. Thanks for hearing me out and I look forward to being played again soon with your help!
