John,
Only four days have passed since the primary election, and our opponent Michelle Steel is already making it clear just how extreme she’d be if given another two years in Congress:
- In a New York Times profile on our race, Steel said she “did not know” if Joe Biden actually won the 2020 presidential election.
- In that same interview, Steel admitted she opposed abortion rights. When asked to clarify twice, Steel refused to answer whether she would make exceptions in the event of rape.
- This week, Republicans and Democrats in Congress came together to pass a gun reform bill to make communities safer by preventing guns from falling into the wrong hands. Steel voted against it.
Steel is completely out of touch with this district, but she is in-tune with the needs of special interests like Big Oil and the NRA. These groups are gearing up to spend record sums to keep her in Congress.
If we’re going to win, we need to fight back early:

You might think Michelle Steel represented a deep-red district in the South given her stances and voting record, but remember: this is a Democratic-leaning seat that Biden won by six-points!
We can win this race, but only if we all come together to defeat the big money coming in to bolster Steel’s campaign.
Thanks in advance for chipping in.
