My name is Dave Young - I am an educator, a union member, a lifelong community leader, and the current State Treasurer for Colorado. As Treasurer, I have worked to create an economy that works for all.
We created programs to help one million Coloradans save for a dignified and sustainable retirement - while saving taxpayers $18 billion.
We supported our teachers and students with programs that financed $645 million to ensure teachers have the resources they need so students get the education they deserve.
We are providing small businesses with nearly $250 million for loans to help recover from the pandemic, fight inflation, and raise employee wages.
We financed $1.9 billion in transportation projects to help repair Colorado’s rapidly deteriorating infrastructure.
And on top of that, we successfully managed over $18 billion of state funds, keeping tax dollars safe and generating returns to take the tax burden off of Coloradans.

I am incredibly proud of the work we have accomplished at the Treasury, but there is still more work to be done. That is why I am running for re-election in 2022.
This will be an incredibly difficult campaign season. Coloradans are struggling - inflation is lowering wages, housing costs are insurmountable for many, and the pandemic is still hurting many of our communities.
Republicans believe they can tap into the economic struggles of millions to reclaim power. But the thing is - Republicans don’t have solutions for any of the problems facing Coloradans - they just want control.
My opponent, Republican Lang Sias, would move our state backward. He claims to be pro-worker, but voted against providing retirement savings for one million Coloradans. He says he wants to fight inflation, but adheres to the economic policies of the 1980's. He claims to be a moderate, but was endorsed by Donald Trump in 2018.
