Raking in money from special interests and lobbyists -- and siding with them over their own constituents -- is standard practice for some politicians. And one of the worst offenders is our very own Senator John Cornyn.

In fact, with $3.5 million, Cornyn is the second highest recipient of oil and gas industry money in the Senate. From giving Trump the green light to back out of the Paris climate agreement to backing the use of taxpayer funds to fortify oil facilities, Cornyn has consistently voted in the fossil fuel industry's best interest -- at the expense of everyday Texans.

The people of Texas deserve better, and in 2020 we've got a chance to finally kick him out of office.

But the only way to beat a guy who's getting millions from special interests is by reaching as many voters as possible. We know for a fact that when more people vote, more Democrats win -- that's why we're investing everything we've got in registering and turning out more voters.
