| Hey John, Gun violence in America is a manifestation of decades of inexcusable neglect on part of the GOP and conservative elected officials. The Supreme Court’s consideration to challenge New York’s strict handgun laws in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen demonstrates this fact once again. New York City is among one of the safest big cities in America due to the strict regulation of the possession of handguns. There are no two ways about it. In this country, we’re fighting for the right to live without fear. Every time we leave our homes we often think about the chance of becoming yet another victim of senseless gun violence.
