I’m Pam Jochum, Iowa State Senator for Dubuque and Sageville. I was the first Democratic woman to ever serve as Iowa Senate president, a position I proudly held from 2013 until we lost the Senate majority in 2016.

I am motivated every day by the powerful women in my life to never stop working for a better life for future generations of women — and right now, there is no issue more pressing than protecting reproductive rights for all Iowans. While abortion is still legal in Iowa, Governor Reynolds and Republican politicians are hellbent on removing the freedom to choose from Iowa’s constitution.
