Hello,

When I talk about 2016, and the first year I ran for Senate, I say "we." Here's why:

I say “we” flipped because no one wins by 1,017 votes on their own. My staff, volunteers, and family will tell you that after we won, I thanked them for the part they played in winning one of the closest Senate races in history. We truly wouldn’t have succeeded without them.

If each and every person who helped by donating, knocking doors, or calling voters hadn’t done what they did for our campaign, I would have lost.

Unbelievably, the stakes are higher now than they were six years ago. The most recent public poll shows me down by 2 points to an anti-choice opponent, and political experts from Rachel Maddow to Nate Silver's 538, are saying I have a difficult reelection fight ahead of me.

Knowing what the margins in my last race were, I can’t win – and protect Democrats’ Senate majority – without you. Yes, you, and our grassroots supporters.

It’s not hyperbole to say that this election could come down to what you do right now. I hope I can count on you.

Please pitch in any amount to win in New Hampshire and stop Mitch McConnell from regaining a GOP majority in the Senate.

With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
