Please pray for upcoming trainings taking place in Romania. This quarter, there are several planned trainings to help equip and empower government partners. These partners are engaged and eager to receive this training to help prevent trafficking of human beings.
Latin America
Praise God for the conviction of a Salvadorian man who was found guilty of sexually assaulting his two stepdaughters. After 11 months of hearings, IJM’s implementing partner in El Salvador achieved its first conviction, serving this aggressor the maximum sentence possible by local laws of 26 years. Praise God for justice served and please pray with the mother of the victims for continued healing, safety and interinstitutional collaboration in other vulnerable communities in the country.
South Asia
Praise God for our survivor leaders furthering the work of justice and protection in South Asia. From aiding in aftercare activities to speaking at large-scale events, these leaders have made real, sustainable change in the states in which they live. We are grateful for their commitment, determination and drive to create a world where all can expect to be free.
Southeast Asia
Praise God for the conviction of an Australian man who was found guilty of the online sexual exploitation of children. The man has been sentenced to 14.5 years in jail after paying almost a half a million dollars to sexually exploit Filipino children online. Please continue to pray for the 15 victims that were rescued in this case in 2020. Pray that this conviction will bring them peace and comfort as they continue the long road of healing, and that justice will continue to be done in cases of online sexual exploitation.

Praise God for the opportunity to gather as a team for the quarterly prayer retreat this past week! This quarterly rhythm provides team members the chance to reconnect in person, celebrate the successes of the past quarter and pray for the work of IJM around the globe. Please pray that teams will return to work on Monday feeling rejuvenated and empowered by the work of the spirit.
