John, Happy Pride Month, San Francisco! Pride is a beautiful celebration of life and love. It is also a time to raise awareness of the issues that still exist for the LGBTQ+ community in our country and in our city. I’ve been honored the past few years to be involved with District 10 Pride, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting inclusion and diversity for all members of our district’s LGBTQ+ community. I’ll be joining District 10 Pride this June for their annual Pride Ride, which brings people together from all neighborhoods of our district to celebrate LGBTQ+ visibility. Only by working collectively can we fully celebrate our diversity and effectively fight discrimination.
