I just filed for reelection!

It has been the honor of my life to serve the people of New Hampshire, and I want to continue delivering on the issues that matter most.

But I'm facing an uphill battle. Political experts from Rachel Maddow to Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight are saying I have a tough reelection fight ahead of me. And CNN labeled my seat as one of the most likely to flip.

Here's the thing: They're not wrong. I won my last race by only 1,017 votes – less than a quarter of a percentage point – and a recent poll shows me down by 2 points to an anti-choice Republican.

The stakes of this race are higher than ever before. If Mitch McConnell flips this seat, he'll flip the Senate, paving the way for a national abortion ban.

Now that my name is officially on the ballot, we urgently need to show the strength of this grassroots campaign. That's why my team set a goal to raise $10,000 before midnight tonight.
