John — In case you’ve been living under a rock, the Jan. 6th hearings officially kicked off this week. The House committee tasked with investigating the events leading up to one of the darkest days in our democracy is going public with their findings. There is no doubt that the testimonies will be shocking and reveal some devastating truths about the attack on our nation’s capital.
As the Jan. 6 committee rolls out their findings, they’re also debating which actions to take on voting rights to prevent another insurrection from happening. Many of them, like Jamie Raskin and Adam Schiff, are considering abolishing the Electoral College!
In 2016, the candidate who lost the popular vote won the presidency and went on to incite a violent and deadly riot in the Capitol building.
