In a moment, I’m going to ask you to contribute $3 to become a Founding Donor of our general election effort to unseat Ken Calvert in CA-41. As more ballots are tallied, we’re seeing some encouraging signs about our prospects -- let me explain what I mean:

We’re still waiting on the final numbers, but with close to 70% of the vote counted, it’s very likely that Democrats received more votes than Republicans in our primary. Republican candidates -- including Ken Calvert -- received roughly 47% of the vote. Democratic campaigns -- including ours -- took in just over 50%.

Factors can change, but this is very promising as we charge in the general election. Remember, it wasn’t long ago that Calvert’s district was considered a GOP stronghold. Democrats have an edge here, and we need to take advantage.
