Folks,

Members of the Republican Party continue to spread the lies and conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was stolen. Last night's January 6th Committee hearing was powerful and it laid things out pretty plainly.

First — After losing the 2020 Presidential election, Donald Trump instigated an insurrection at the US Capitol, the first time the Capitol was breached since the War of 1812.

Then — The bipartisan committee was formed to investigate the events leading up to and during the insurrection on January 6th, 2021. The committee released some of its key findings last night, firmly laying the responsibility on the feet of Donald Trump.

Now — We need to step up and protect our democracy, once again. Allowing the GOP to retake the House and Senate in November could have irreversible consequences for American Democracy. It’s on us to send our Virginia Democrats back to Washington and try to flip a few seats along the way.
