Seattle Times:
Lawsuit seeks to overturn WA ban on sale, manufacture of large-capacity gun magazines
Just months after the life-saving ban on the sale of high capacity magazines was signed into law here in Washington, the gun lobby is suing to prevent it from going into effect.
This is yet another example of the gun lobby seeking to show their “strength” and intimidate politicians. An overwhelming majority of Americans — including gun owners — are demanding more common-sense gun laws. I will not be intimidated by their tactics — I will defend this responsible law.
Will you stand with me against the gun lobby and rush a $10 contribution today to support common-sense gun measures in Washington?
I’ve gone up against the NRA and the gun lobby repeatedly — and I’ve won every time. In fact, I’ve never lost a case involving common-sense gun regulations. That includes blocking President Trump’s dangerous ghost gun rule — twice.
Survivors of gun violence, lawmakers from across the state, and longtime advocates of common-sense gun laws worked hard to pass this law and I will defend it.
Thank you,
Bob
