Happy Pride, John! I hope this Pride Month has been a good one for you so far.

I wanted to reach out because the Equality Act, which I proudly helped pass in the House, has been in limbo for months due to Senate Republicans refusing to support fundamental human rights.

And as this legislation is stalled in Congress, the far-right has only become more extreme. State legislatures are passing laws that target transgender children, and several conservative Supreme Court justices have made it clear they support overturning Obergefell v. Hodges – the case that guaranteed marriage equality nationwide.
