Hey John, it’s David Hogg, one of the co-founders of March For Our Lives. I’m reaching out about something important.
On June 11th, we are once again taking to the streets in DC and in sibling marches across the country to demand our political leaders take action to end gun violence. If you were with us in 2018, we need you with us right now.
Four years ago, I marched alongside my classmates and millions of people across the world. I marched for our lives and I marched so that future generations could live their lives free from gun violence. I’m angry that nothing has changed. I’m devastated for the communities in Buffalo, Uvalde, and so so many more.
This isn’t a Republican or Democrat issue. This is about kids dying.
NRA-backed political leaders have shown a callous disregard for our lives by refusing to take action to end gun violence. The result of their inaction has been preventable tragedies and innocent lives lost. We will not wait any longer. This time it will be different.
We do not have to keep living this way. We need our political leaders on both sides of the aisle to work together to pass common-sense gun safety legislation. On June 11th we’ll send a message to them collectively: we demand action now.
Thanks for your support,
David Hogg, co-founder and Board Member
