And did you know that roughly two-thirds of them are women? Compounded with the gender pay gap, too many women are being forced to make difficult decisions about their futures under the crushing burden of student debt.

Canceling student loan debt is not a windfall for the rich — it’s a lifeline for working Americans. It’s a racial justice issue and a gender equality issue. And the time for action is now.

President Biden needs to address this crisis so we can tackle systemic inequities and help every American achieve financial stability — not just by forgiving $10,000 in student loans as the administration recently announced, but by canceling ALL student debt.
