Hello Friend, Wanted to share some quick updates from the campaign trail — A LOT is happening! THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Filing Week Fiesta & Office Warming party! We kicked off this leg of the campaign with energy & excitement, friends new & old, great speeches from local small business owners & Congressman Derek Kilmer. It’s the community that makes our campaign strong — the conversations you have with neighbors & in line at the grocery store, the doors you knock, the calls & texts you make, and the money you give so generously. Thank you. Here is a picture of me, Congressman Kilmer, and our amazing grassroots crew:
I’m also grateful to the many organizations that have endorsed me in recent weeks, including: Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates, Washington State Labor Council, and the Washington Education Association. Their support is invaluable to the success of our campaign, and I’m honored to have support from our teachers, reproductive rights advocates, and the largest force for organized labor in Washington.
Primary ballots will be mailed out in just over a month. As campaign season heats up, here are a few things you can do to help us out: 1) I hope you will consider signing up to volunteer, 2) endorsing me for re-election, 3) staying connected with us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, or 4) attending one of our upcoming in-district house parties. We have three coming up soon:
If you are interested in attending any of these, please reach out to Chad Hunter at [email protected]! Lately, it’s been easy to feel like we are headed in the wrong direction, with so much senseless violence across the county, abortion rights under attack, and rising prices putting strain on our working families. But every day that I talk to voters at their doors or work with volunteers & supporters like you, I’m reminded that when we come together – human to human – in service of our community and our future, we win. Look forward to seeing you out in the district sometime soon. (Maybe this afternoon at 3 at Skansie Park for the City of Gig Harbor’s Pride celebration?) Thanks so much for having my back. — Emily |
