John,
Last night, the bipartisan January 6th investigation revealed – live and in prime time – its evidence that former President Trump and his accomplices planned, promoted, and paid for that day's horrific attack on our country and our freedom.
We’ve prepared a rundown of the most important – and shocking – revelations for Common Cause members like you. Please take a moment to read and share the truth with as many people as you can.
But before you click away, I first need to ask if you’re willing to turn these shocking revelations into action.
You see, the sinister forces behind January 6th are already working to sabotage the 2022 and 2024 elections. The only way we can stop them is with swift accountability – and if thousands of us are willing to work together in defense of our democracy.
The most powerful way you can make a difference – and STOP the far right’s anti-democracy plot – is by signing up as a Protect the Vote 2022 Volunteer today.
There are important roles for everyone, in every state – whether that’s helping voters in person, monitoring Facebook and Twitter for vote-suppressing disinformation, or spreading the word about voter registration deadlines, absentee ballots, and early voting.
I repeat: in 2022, we will mobilize thousands of nonpartisan Election Protection volunteers – to help voters understand and defend their rights, push back against disinformation, and ensure that every eligible voter can participate in our democracy.
And John, that is precisely what we’ll need to do now that we know what we’re up against. That’s why I’m making a special request of you today – not for financial support, but that you commit to DEFENDING our country against the shadowy, anti-freedom forces that the House’s investigators just exposed for all to see.
You can volunteer for as little or as much time as you'd like – but please sign up today to show that these shocking revelations should motivate every one of us to act in defense of democracy >>
No matter our color, background, or party, most of us believe that January 6th was a crime against our country and an attack on our freedom. And with last night’s hearing, we’re much closer to knowing exactly how it happened.
But if we don’t seize this moment – right here and right now – Trump’s far-right forces will successfully cover up an attack on our democracy, one that none of us can afford to forget. I hope you will join me in continuing to demand the accountability we deserve.
In common cause,
Karen Hobert Flynn, President
