We are thankful to the January 6th Committee for their exceptional work in last night’s primetime hearing. First and foremost, the committee members let the evidence speak for itself. We saw Trump’s inner circle – including his daughter, Ivanka – reject The Big Lie in their own words, we heard insurrectionists explain that they were invited by Trump himself to storm the Capitol, and we were reminded of the terrible violence of that day with never-before-seen footage.

It would be impossible for any reasonable American to watch last night's hearing and still believe that the January 6th Insurrection was peaceful and spontaneous.

But not The 147. They attempted to deflect from the hearings with bad jokes, cheap excuses, and whataboutism:

In subsequent hearings, The January 6th Committee will flesh out what The 147 knew when about the January 6th Insurrection. We’ll find out which members actively planned the coup attempt and which members just hopped on the treason bandwagon.

But the most important bombshell has already dropped: On January 6th, 2021, 147 Senators and Representatives voted to overturn the will of the voters and deliberately incited an insurrection that threatened to overturn the Constitution. Their lack of shame, remorse, and guilt in response to last night’s hearing proves that there’s only one way to ensure our democracy is never threatened again: vote them out.
