Dear People For supporter,

I hope you were able to tune in to the January 6 Select Committee’s
hearing last night. We saw in excruciating detail just how close we came
to losing our democracy in a coup – as well as the roles played by the
former President and his allies in fomenting the seditious conspiracy. At
least five more public hearings are planned, and they promise to be just
as riveting.

This is a momentous and unprecedented point in American history, so I
wanted to drop a note to say THANK YOU for your support of People For the
American Way.

We need to mobilize and engage as many Americans as possible around these
hearings if we’re going to overcome the Far Right’s “counterprogramming”
propaganda on Fox News and other right-wing media, secure our democracy
from attacks like the attempted Trump coup, and keep the Far Right from
seizing control of Congress and/or our statehouses in this fall’s
elections. Thanks to your support of our work, we are doing just
that.

* We’ve recently released (and now updated) our activist toolkit at

a full schedule of the upcoming hearings, shareables for social media,
updates from our Right Wing Watch team giving further context to the
players and movements behind the insurrection, and more.
* We’ve also released the first in a series of videos taking an in-depth
look at the far-right connections to the attempted coup of January 6;
our first one covers January 6 organizer Ali Alexander and the “Stop

Keepers; we expect to release it next week.
