The drought is worsening, friend. It’s causing a water supply crisis and harming vulnerable residents and habitats.

We have an incredible opportunity RIGHT NOW to use California’s $97.5 BILLION BUDGET SURPLUS to make a significant investment in safe and sustainable water.

The State Senate’s budget proposal earmarks $3 billion for our water future. Let’s get this finalized! Sign on to our petition to help us get money for water.

Tell state leaders: Invest in water that’s affordable and accessible for all Californians →

Friend, state leaders are finalizing the 2022-23 budget as we speak; the deadline is next week on June 15!

California has the funds to ensure we have equitable water access for all Californians, especially frontline communities. We just need Sacramento to show the political will to get it done.

We’re supporting $1.5 billion for drought resilient water supply projects, like wastewater recycling and stormwater capture, built with good union jobs. And another $1.5 billion for safe, affordable, and accessible drinking water, with at least $330 million to create the country’s first water and wastewater low-income rate assistance program!

That’s a $3 billion investment in clean water, friend. In a state with a $97.5 billion budget surplus, investing anything less would be irresponsible.

Add your name to our petition calling on Governor Newsom and legislative leadership to invest in safe, affordable, and drought resilient water for all Californians.

Let’s get this done!
