Friends — today is the day.
Today, the Supreme Court will begin to hear a case that could jeopardize commonsense gun safety laws across the country.
For the first time in 10 years, the Court is hearing a major 2nd Amendment challenge in the case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Ass’n v. City of New York.
The conservative justices could use this case to set a dangerous precedent that’ll make it easier for the gun lobby to mount legal challenges to lifesaving gun laws like concealed carry regulations and assault weapons bans.
So while they hear the opening arguments this morning, we will be rallying outside of the Supreme Court building. We need all the support we can get to protect the laws we've worked so hard to pass. Will you join us?
