There is one thing all hardworking Americans in Gwinnett and Forsyth county want: a better life for themselves and their children. That's one of the reasons why I am a candidate for the 7th Congressional District.
I am a mother, grandmother, and teacher - I understand the threats to our children and our communities. My life's work has been making sure the next generation has something to look forward to: safer communities, jobs. freedoms, and the chance at individual expression of religion, creativity, and purpose. All of these ideals are threatened when we allow our educational system to continue to fail the next generation. The same can be said for the debt burden we are mounting in Washington.
Let's take a moment to reflect on what it really means to be an American.
That's the kind of compassion and work ethic we need in Georgia. I know the folks in my district appreciate someone in Congress who will listen and can understand their perspectives. Being a home-grown Georgian, I want to let you know I'm listening ... and I care about what happens in this community.
It's time we roll up our sleeves and put some practical plans in place. I've got a clearer vision for the 7th District, and a clearer purpose for 2020. Together we can make the 7th District one the best communities in which to live, work, and play.
