The 13th includes Johnston, as well as parts of Wake, Harnett, and Wayne counties. I live in Cary with my wife and two children, Adeline and Prescott, and I have served our state as a two-term State Senator in Wake County.

As a former official in President Obama's Administration, I know how important it is to lead by building coalitions and delivering lasting results. During my two terms in the State Senate, I've fought to protect fair elections and worked across the aisle to expand rural broadband. I've also pushed for investments in public education and the health of our children.

Our district is one of the most critical and competitive races in the country for November. My opponent, Bo Hines, says he's "100% Pro-Trump." He's been endorsed by the most far-right members of Congress, and has been bought and paid for by dark PAC money. He represents everything wrong with politics today. He seeks to sow division and parade around participating in publicity stunts like his buddy, Madison Cawthorn. 

North Carolina deserves a leader. The 13th district deserves a representative who will fight for them and their families on the floor of the House, not prop up their own political career. The sake of our democracy is at stake in November, and I need you to help me take this seat and hold the House Majority for another two years.
