Clean Air Day on 16 June!
Thursday 16 June is Clean Air Day! There's lots of things we can all do to help reduce emissions and improve air quality:
- Leave the car at home and travel more actively, where you can
- Hop on public transport!
- Park and Ride, or Park and Stride!
- Don't be idle, switch off your engine
- Go electric

Changes to the Highway Code
Changes to the Highway Code came into force on 29 January. For the official updates, please find them here.
Updates on mobile phone use
From Friday 25 March rules in The Highway Code came into force making any hand-held use of a mobile phone while driving illegal, except in limited circumstances. See the updates here.

Thursday 7 April - Sunday 19 June: Canal Street outside the Courts Lane closure as needed (from 9.30am each day needed) for construction works

Monday 16 May - Friday 8 July: Junction of Nottingham Road / Haydn Road / North Gate Four-way lights with additional pedestrian crossings for full refurbishment of traffic signalised junction
Monday 6 June - Friday 17 June: Nuthall Road junction Bar Lane to outside 475 Lane closure for pedestrians due to closed footway for City Fibre works
Monday 6 June - Friday 29 July: University Boulevard / Woodside Road Lane closure from Sports Ground for 58m onto Woodside Road for gas mains replacement works
Thursday 9 June - Monday 13 June: Crabtree Road junction Hoefield Road Three-way lights for City Fibre works
Thursday 9 June - Wednesday 15 June: 26 Mapperley Road Two-way lights for Cadent Gas works

Saturday 11 June - Sunday 3 July: Junction of London Road & Queens Road Lane closure for Western Power Distribution works. Weekend works only; 24 hours.
Sunday 12 June - Thursday 16 June: Derby Road from Hillside to Middleton Boulevard & Middleton Boulevard to Wollaton Hall Drive Suspension of bus lane for carriageway repair works (9.30am-3.30pm)
Monday 13 June - Friday 17 June: Hilcot Drive between the junction of Melbourne Road & Minver Crescent Road closure for carriageway repair (off-peak 9.30am-3.30pm). Diversion for cars will be in place. Diversion for buses.
Monday 13 June - Friday 17 June: Outside Numbers 184 to 188 Mansfield Road Inside lane closure for Severn Trent Water works
Tuesday 14 June: Outside 13 Beeston Road Removal of lane 1 on Beeston Road to replace Vodafone frame and cover
Tuesday 14 June - Wednesday 22 June: Nuthall Road junction Broxtowe Lane to Kelstern Close Footway and lane closure for City Fibre works

Thursday 16 June - Wednesday 22 June: London Road adjacent Fire Station Left-hand outbound lane closure for Western Power Distribution works
Friday 17 June 9.30am-3.30pm: Cinderhill Road junction with Leonard Street and outside 188 Lane closure and three-way temporary signals for carriageway repair works

Friday 23 July 2021 - Friday 22 July 2022: High Cross Street (city centre) Road closure between Heathcoat Street and Western Street due to demolition works.
Monday 9 May 2022 - 31 March 2023: Hucknall Road Lane closures for the construction of new cycle route between Kersall Drive & Bestwood Road
Monday 21 February 2022 - Wednesday 31 August 2022: Silverdale roundabout Lane closures on Silverdale roundabout and approaches from the A52 and A453 for National Highways junction improvements.
