Dear Jack, We're trying something new and you're invited to be there when it starts. Starting next week, we'll be hosting a series of online discussions with CREDO members and staff. The purpose of the discussions is to get to know each other, talk about how we got involved in activism and share our thoughts on the issues we care about the most. Can you join CREDO staff and members like you for a 30 minute chat sometime in the next few weeks? We only have room for 50 people to join each discussion, so please sign up now if you're interested. For the discussions we'll be using an amazing new tool called Icebreaker, which is currently in beta testing and not yet available to the public. Here's how Icebreaker works. At the time designated for the conversation, everyone will click a link to join the Icebreaker. We'll all then be in a text chat room together for a few minutes where people can sign in, share where they're joining from and start to chat. Once everyone has joined, I'll broadcast live video to everyone to say hello and kick things off. Then, each person will be matched with another person for a quick, 4 minute one-on-one video chat. In the chat, you'll be given prompts to answer specific questions during your conversation. After the four minutes is up, we'll all return to the group text chat. We'll then repeat the process with a few more 1-1 chats, so everyone will get to talk to several other people. I'll be participating in the Icebreakers and inviting other CREDO Action staff to join.
