Earlier this year, one of my best supporters and a long time Democrat shared with me how worried he is about whether our democracy will survive the 2022 elections. That was before the draft opinion reversing Roe v. Wade and the January 6th hearings that were televised last night.

That deep concern is why I am partnering with Beyond Arlington in support of Elaine Luria. Becauss the question is still what are we going to do about it? We must act strategically to support those who share our ideals.

Rep. Elaine Luria is in one of the most competitive races in the Country, per the Cook Political Report.
Representative Luria is in the most difficult Congressional District for Democrats to hold in Virginia. She is pro-choice and pro-common sense gun safety. And her work on impeachment and faith grounded in service are inspiring. Brooke and I and our partners with Beyond Arlington would love to host you at our home.

Integrity and the effort to hold the House led me to commit to help raise the funding Elaine needs through this event. Given that Elaine is working hard as one of the leads on the panel on January 6th's insurrection, we would like to help take some of the pressure off by supporting her.
