John, I want to share an update on GLSEN’s bold and unhesitating advocacy plan for the safety and inclusion of all LGBTQ+ youth.

In mid-May GLSEN launched our “Okay to Say Gay” campaign with 80 billboards displayed across the state of Florida linking students and families to support resources. The site also encourages voter registration to empower LGBTQ+ community members to oust bigoted legislatures and elect pro-equality candidates.

I hope you will join me in supporting students in Florida and beyond. [[link removed]] Together, we can make this country safer and more affirming for our LGBTQ+ community.

PS: LGBTQ+ students already face disproportionate levels of discrimination, harassment, and assault—posing a very real danger to their mental health and, ultimately, their lives . How can we stand by while politicians work to reverse years of progress? [[link removed]]

GLSEN believes that every student has the right to a safe and inclusive K-12 education.

We are a national network working to make this right a reality.
