Team – Tonight, the January 6th commission held its first public hearings on the January 6th insurrection.

And though we expected to hear new evidence, none of what was revealed made our opponent, MAGA Republican Chabot, remorseful for his role in the lead up to Jan. 6th and in the months that followed.

Minutes after the unprecedented attack on our Capitol, Chabot walked back in and voted to overturn our election results. And he’s proud of it. Don’t believe us?

• BAD: Chabot helped add fuel to the fire by amplifying Trump’s Big Lie about the 2020 presidential election.


• AWFUL: Chabot turned his back on our democracy when he voted to acquit President Trump for inciting the January 6th insurrection. And given that it was Chabot’s second vote to acquit Trump, it’s clear that he’ll always put party before country.


• WORST: Chabot even claimed to support law-and-order, but he famously turned his back on Capitol Police officers by trying to ruin the Jan. 6th commission's attempts to investigate how officers were mercilessly attacked, beaten, and even killed by the rioters.


• AND EVEN AFTER ALL OF THAT: The dust had settled and order was restored to the Capitol on January 6th, Chabot still opposed the certification of Joe Biden’s victory.
