The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) is backing my plan to expand the Supreme Court.

The LCV has taken this stance on behalf of its million members because they see the current situation the same way I do: Republicans are politicizing the Supreme Court by packing it with right-wing ideologues who are misusing their power to take away Americans’ rights and achieve their anti-environment goals.

The right-wing majority on the court isn’t just coming after reproductive rights. They’re coming after LGBTQ+ rights, voting rights, and civil rights. And as the LCV points out, the court is endangering the environment, loosening protections so that Republican donors can pad their pockets while the planet plunges toward climate disaster.

The Supreme Court is supposed to be the highest neutral arbiter of the law. But these right-wing justices think they are the law. And as the chair of the Courts Subcommittee, I’m not going to let that stand.
